Default Sat nav/GPS?

Hi all,

I'm in the market for a budget Sat Nav. Anyone had any experience with this one - [link removed] ? Are Garmin reputable?

Thanks!

Please don't arrive here unannounced and post links like that. An elite moderator might think it was a thinly-disguised attempt at spamming.

I think you should get a tomtom and then download Yoda's voice to give you directions. Left turn, you shall take!

That might be funny Loki. I have a garmin that's set on an British accent so she always sounds slightly chastising when she is "recalculating." Like it really means "I told you to turn there, stupid cow."

Ever heard of Brian Blessed? He was in that really camp Flash Gordon movie some years back. This guy.

He's known for his deep, booming voice and larger-than-life personality. A little while back a campaign started on Facebook to get him to record his voice for a GPS. The company said they'd invite him if the campaign got 25,000 supporters. They succeeded, and he really is going to do it.

Apparently, the plan is to have him say "GORDON'S ARRIVED!" when you reach your destination.
