If he's out for his first game, I'd put him on your bench and replace him with one of your other players. You don't necessarily have to drop the guy. Just bench him for the first week.

(If you want to PM me the player's name, I might be able to help. )

If you click on the notepad icon next to a player's status it should tell you how long that player is expected to be out, inactive, etc.

For example, if he's out due to an injury it will usually say "expected to miss 6 to 8 weeks" or "out for Game 1 due to one week suspension for PED use". Then you can decide based on that information if you think he's worth keeping on your roster for when he does return, or if he's just an average player you can drop him and replace him with another average player.

Same goes for players who may be marked IA (inactive), P (probable), D (doubtful) for various reasons. Always check the reason and the projected amount of time to be missed so you can make an informed decision.

Or you can just trade me your best players for my "injury free" ones.

I checked the little notebook, and though the coach is keeping tight lipped, the notes say that they would be extremely surprised if he doesn't play on Sunday

You can. You can drop him add another TE. Although you have a decent TE so your looking for a backup and/or to cover for bye week. Go to drop/add. So, Look at % start, and Proj pts. % owned. All this is just a crap shoot but I hope this helps.

Keep an eye on that "questionable" WR you have as you have some on your bench that could replace. (sorry if I'm over-helping)

Also keep in mind you don't have to drop/add players of the same position.

For example, if you decide you need more depth at WR and you happen to have a really crappy RB spending a lot of time on your bench you can drop the RB and pick up an extra WR instead.

My bench is playing better than my squad!

That what happens when I trust the Bears.

What sorcery is this? Indy scores 14 points, but nary a field goal or PAT?

It's a flex position. You can put a RB or WR in there.

I think I may lose this week. I blame my defense with their -4.00. (My benched defense had 18.00)

*edit: I take it back! LOVING my new WR!

So I traded a guy because he had a concussion, then I forgot about him, and traded for him. So now I'm stuck with this concussed asshole! I really suck at this.

Do we get stuck with a player if we drop him once and then take him back again? I didn't know that.

If that's the case then you'd have to drop another player who isn't doing much for you (Mathews maybe?) in order to get another TE to play until concussed asshole comes back. Just stick Green on your bench. Although notes say SD might be stupid enough to put him in this week; who knows how well he will do if that's the case.

You can always drop the new TE once Green is back for sure.

Remember last year when we were speculating about Brady being done? We may have been a tad premature. Although last time Brady felt he or his team was being picked on and singled out, I recall he played pissed off all season that year too.
