Default Hockey, hockey, hockey, hockey, hockey, hockey

Not who I am expecting to win, just who I am hoping to win the first round of the play offs.

Los Angeles
St Louis
Phoenix
Nashville
Ottawa
Boston
don't have a favorite in the Florida/New Jersey series
Pittsburgh.

That is all.

I was going with the teams that actually made it into this years playoffs. If we are doing a Fantasy thing, I am glad you included the Flames on your list, because in the fantasy world, they are just now skating around the ice to the screaming delight of the rabid Calgary fans, having just kicked the hell out of Vancouver to win the Cup.

Go Pittsburgh. (who doesn't love Sidney Crosby?)

Cassie, I think Columbus finished in last place. Although the Oilers tried really hard to finish with that title.

The Oilers are becoming EXPERTS though. They didn't finish last, and STILL managed to get the first draft pick.

ahhhhh, my too young for me dreamy boyfriend. I love Sid the Kid. Matt hates him. Thinks he's a whiny pussy. He thinks it's creepy that my friend Monica and I love him. I think it's creepy that he used to love Paris Hilton.

As long as Timmy Thomas stays healthy, I think the Bruins will do well. I hope Pittsburgh wins their series, and I really want to see a coaches brawl.

I don't love that whining cry baby. Of course I want Detroit to win but they probably won't and if they don't I don't really care who wins as long as Pittsburgh doesn't. So far Philly is doing a pretty good job of making the last part of my dream come true.

Right now, in a barn burner of a game, Canada/US are playing in the IIHF Womens World Championship gold medal game. It is 3 - 3 at the end of the second period. It was 1 - 1 at the end of the first. Canada lept out to a 3 -1 lead, but US has fought back. There have been two fights.

Women's hockey usually sucks, except for Canada/USA, because the rest of the world is so far behind. It is now 4 - 4 with the USA leading for most of the third period, and canada tieing it up in the last few minutes. Off to sudden death overtime!

You are closest to the San Jose Sharks I think, but I think the LA Kings have more heart. Cheering for LA would have the added benefit of ANTI-cheering for Vancouver, which is AWAYS a great thing!

Coach Babcock is Canadian. Even coached the Gold medal winning Canadian Olympic team. Step away from the dark side, Oz, come to the light.

The coach didn't score the lightning-quick gold medal winning overtime goal, did he?

I was texting with a guy who was actually attending the gold-medal game in Vancouver. He was doing the negative-nelly thing, complaining that our goaltending sucked and that Crosby sucked, and just the fact that the game was going into overtime meant that we blew our chance at gold. I called it. I told him that Crosby would score the overtime winner for the gold. He told me I was nuts and continued saying Canada sucked and we blew our chance at the gold medal.

It took five days afterward before I heard from him again. To this day he hasn't said a single word to me about the game.

I never said Crosby sucked. I sais he was a whining cry baby who I can't stand. If he was American playing for our Olympic team I would root for the team and hope he broke his leg.

It started the frist year they played in the finals. The year Detroit won. Throughout the finals all he did was whine about the refs and how they weren't calling enough against Detroit. That annoyed me but he cemented my opinion of him the next year when Pittsburgh won and he still whined and cried about how they weren't be treated fairly by the refs. Just shut the fuck up and play the game.

Same as Gretzky - he plays for an opposition team. Everytime the Oilers played in Calgary chants of Whiiiiiiner, whiiiiner, whiiiiner rang off the rafters. Gretz was a great player, but a whiner. I am pretty sure if he played for the Flames, he would have just been justified.

Los Angeles LA leads 3 - 0
St Louis series tied 1 - 1
Phoenix series tied 1 - 1
Nashville Nash leads 2 - 1
Ottawa series tied 1 - 1
Boston series tied 1 - 1
don't have a favorite in the Florida/New Jersey series series tied 1 - 1
Pittsburgh. Philly leads 3 - 0

So far, only Pittsburgh is letting me down.

No it has nothing to do with the team. I like Geno. I like LaTang. I just hate Sydney Crosby. And all of the rest of the Penguins including their coach complained about the refs in 08. Once. But Crosby whined about them every time he had a microphone in his face which, because he's Crosby, was constantly. And none of the other guys were doing it in 09.

ETA - And I was and am a huge Gretzky fan even though neither of the teams he played for was my team.
