So I looked at the picture gallery and about half of the folks haven't posted since I joined and there's only one page of pics and a whole lot of regular posters not shown.

(I sent my pic but it didn't make the cut.)

You're right. I would encourage any regular bsers who want to be added to the gallery....but who simply haven't gotten around to it yet....to do so!

SB & I certainly need to submit a more recent picture. I was a redhead and pregnant with Palin when that pic was taken.

I'm sorry that I have a job, a kid in hockey, a kid in gymnastics, a husband whose job often requires late and/or odd hours, dinner to cook, lunches to make for kids and husband, bathing and showering of two children to supervise, kids' homework to be done, sidewalks to be shoveled, laundry to be done, garbage and recycling to be taken out, banking, grocery shopping and other errands to be run.

I'm also sorry that when I'm not doing those things, sometimes I like to read to my kids or play a game with them, or visit with and keep in touch with my friends and family.

And I'm sorry that when I'm not doing those things sometimes I sit down and read a book or watch TV or even a movie.

I'm even sorrier that I am too stupid to use anything other than FrontPage to do the photo gallery and that the program is a pain in the ass and the rare times when it does occur to me that I haven't updated it in awhile, I am really not in the mood to have to deal with something like FP.

So I'm very mostestly most incredibly very sorry that even when I am sitting here on my ass in front of the computer doing nothing more important than BSing, it takes a specific kind of mood and frame of mind to feel like firing FP up and dealing with it and all it's ridiculous quirks and funkiness.

So please, if anyone would like to volunteer to do a better job of keeping current with a gallery and adding photos in short order with no delays once they have been received, by all means, speak up! I will happily send all of the photo files to you.

Otherwise, if you are really set on making sure people are able to see your beautiful self whenever their heart desires, I would suggest trying this method:

User CP>Settings & Options>Edit Profile Picture>Upload>VOILA! Your very own one-person BSer Gallery!

Of course, the above is a load of bullshit and the true story is that when people send me photos for the gallery, I rate them on my own personal scale and then decide from there who is worthy of representing the BS Brigade with their fabulous faces. In other words, some of you just don't make the cut. So sad. So so so verrrrrry sad.

And some people just are not comfortable sharing their photos in public.

As far as I see in my files, the only people who have ever sent me photos but are not on the gallery are you and Lily. In case it was not already apparent, I adore Lily. That should tell you something about any reasons, or non-reasons, for pictures that may be absent though they have been submitted to me.

There are not people missing only because of lack of updates. There are people missing because they have chosen not to send a photo, or have chosen instead to put one in their profile.

Frankly, I would be more likely to take the time to start up FP and do an update if I had more than one or two photos to add at a time. But I don't, and so I haven't.

While it is nice to know what people look like, please relax and do not push people or call them "wusses" for not having a photo up in public. In general, I would say with our bunch, that sort of tactic is really quite useless and only results in annoyance. Especially when the demands are coming from a relative "newbie" who, by his own admission, barely even knows us yet.

I honestly try not to have a problem with you, JD, because I don't think you are a bad guy... but you make it quite difficult with posts like the one you made.
